2026 Election Information - Updated 3-16-26
Please note the changes to the AFA Election Category.
In accordance with Article VIII of the AFA-CWA Constitution & Bylaws, all Councils in Category II must nominate and elect officers for the term beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029 (three-year term). Local Council Officers to be elected will be LEC President, LEC Vice President & LEC Secretary.
As an active member in good standing, you have the right to support candidates for office, to run for office and to cast a secret ballot during the election.
Due to procedural changes to the nominations process and to continue to provide a fair and democratic election process, the Spirit C37 LEC Officer nomination will be reopened from March 23, 2026 to April 6, 2026. This will include self-nominations and the ability for active members in good standing to nominate another active member in good standing.
Any candidate that already submitted a self-nomination form during the originally scheduled submission timeframe will still be valid and will appear on the election ballot.

NOMINATIONS:
Nominations will only be accepted from March 23 to April 6.
The members below have completed a self-nomination form during the original nomination period, their submission is still valid and will appear on the election ballot.

Voting Notices with credentials to access the ballot will be mailed on April 13, 2026
Election polls open and voting begins: April 16, 2026 12 PM ET
Election polls close and the count takes place on: April 30, 2026 12 PM ET
