2025 Election Notice

• Term of office begins: August 26, 2025 and ends June 30, 2028.
• Positions to be elected: LEC President, LEC Vice President& LEC Secretary

ELECTION SCHEDULE: 

• Voting Notice & Instructions will be mailed: August 8, 2025, this notice provides your personal one-time use activation code which allows a member to access the ballot and cast their vote and a list of nominated candidates running for each LEC Officer position. 
• POLLS OPEN:   August 12, 2025, 12 PM ET* Polls open and voting begins
• POLLS CLOSE: August 26, 2025,   12 PM ET* The Ballot Certification Committee certifies the results, notifies the successful candidates and posts the results on this page.

In accordance with the AFA-CWA Constitution an election is being conducted to elect officers for your Local Executive Council (LEC)   The term of office begins upon completion of the election count July 7, 2025 and ends June 30, 2028. The Local Council Officers to be elected will be LEC President, LEC Vice President and LEC Secretary. 

As an active member you have the right to support candidates for office, to run for office and to cast a secret ballot.

Nominations and elections are governed by procedures outlined in the Association’s Constitution & Bylaws, Article VIII and the AFA Policy Manual.

ELIGIBILITY
In order to participate in the nomination and election process a Flight Attendant must be an Active Member. You must complete an AFA Membership Application in order to run for office or cast your vote. 

ELECTION WEBSITE
The AFA Election website contains information regarding the voting process, eligibility to vote and step-by-step guides and videos. The official certified results for each nomination and election will be posted on this site under the specific Council’s page.
